What is the PNW Book Calendar?

One calendar of author readings, book clubs, story times, and other public events at independent bookstores, public libraries, and literary organizations in the Pacific Northwest.

How often is it updated?

A weekly sweep reads each source's own events feed or page. The footer shows the date of the last pull.

Which areas does it cover?

Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and western Montana. Coverage is best where a source publishes a structured event feed.

Are library events included?

Yes. Library author talks, book clubs, and library-hosted readings are included alongside bookstore events and literary organization events, each tagged by source.

Why do so few events show an author?

Most stores and libraries put the author's name in the event title instead of a separate field. The author index lists only the events where a source published a real author field.

How do I get a source's events listed, or fix a listing?

Listings are read from each source's own published events page, so keep that page current and public. There is no submission address yet; when there is one, it will be posted here.

Are online events included?

Yes, at /online/. Most are hosted by Pacific Northwest bookstores, libraries, and literary organizations. A smaller set comes from a few national online listings and is marked national, separately from the Pacific Northwest events.
